Dear Reader,

It’s the first day of summer, and, in keeping with my strict OCD ways, today was the day i stopped wearing my jacket.

<aside>I tend to run my life by dates a bit, you see. It’s a mental illness thing.</aside>

There’s this jacket that we widget boffins are expected to wear at work to show our professionalism. Once summer hits, of course, it is less desirable to be getting about in a jacket. So, first day of summer, that’s it for professionalism.

Mind you, it was a bit cold today. Too cold to be without a jacket.

But it did feel good at the end of the day to just stand up, turn off my computer, and walk out.

None of this having to put a jacket on before i leave nonsense! No sir, just walk straight out the door.

Man, what freedom!
